Quayle Munro advises on financing of Midlothian Community Hospital

March 2009:  

Quayle Munro advised Robertson Capital Projects, the successful  bidder, on its strategy to secure an optimum project finance solution for the new Midlothian Community Hospital.  The capital value of the hospital is £18 million and the successful fund raising was closed on 9 March 2009.

The new hospital will be situated at Mayshade South, near Bonnyrigg in Scotland. It will provide 88 beds – 40 frail elderly continuing care beds and 48 frail elderly mental health beds, comprising 24 assessment beds and 24 continuing care beds for older people with mental health problems. It will also include a day hospital for older people with mental health problems, a dedicated physiotherapy and occupational therapy service, an out-patient department, including x-ray service, child health clinics, and a range of other health services.
