Simon is responsible for the Group's Compliance and Operations. In recent years Simon Woolton has been involved in a number of equity fundraisings and acquisition and sale mandates in the hotel and leisure sectors, including for Virgin Hotels and Clubs, Wanderlust Travel Magazine, Hotel du Vin and Virgin Holidays, and in luxury brands.
Simon joined Quayle Munro on its acquisition of New Boathouse Capital, where he was one of the founder directors and shareholders and where he was also responsible for compliance and FSA regulation. He worked for seven years at S.G. Warburg & Co. Ltd. in asset management, banking and mergers & acquisitions, before setting up his own corporate finance advisory company, Woolton Elwes Ltd., which focused on small and medium sized private companies and in raising venture capital. He is based in the London office.
Simon graduated from St. Andrews University in 1981 with an MA in Economics and Modern History.
