New York, April 29, 2009: The van Tulleken Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quayle Munro Holdings PLC, is pleased to announce it has advised The Nielsen Company in the sale of its Sao Paulo-based trade shows to Nürnberg Messe GmbH, a large German exhibition company. The Brazilian trade shows included in the transaction cover a total of 10 expositions in the pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and organic products industries along with a number of other sectors. Nearly all events included are currently held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.The terms of the deal were not revealed, although Nürnberg Messe Managing Director Bernd Diederichs called it the “biggest acquisition in the company’s history.” The new company will be known as Nürnberg Messe Brasil and will be managed by Ligia Amorim, who ran the company for Nielsen.The Nielsen Company is a global information and media company with leading market positions in marketing and consumer information, television and other media measurement, online intelligence, mobile measurement, trade shows and business publications (Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter, and Adweek).
