New Boathouse Capital advises Royal Opera House on £7.7m acquisition of Opus Arte UK

New Boathouse Capital has advised The Royal Opera House on its acquisition of Opus Arte UK Ltd, the classical music and dance DVD production and distribution company, for £7.7m.  The acquisition is part of The Royal Opera House’s strategy to increase its product offering in the global DVD and digital market place.

The Royal Opera House is one of the world’s great performing arts venues.  A theatre has operated at its Covent Garden location since 1732, with the third and most recent redevelopment being unveiled in 1999. For more information, please go to www.roh.org.uk

Opus Arte UK Ltd is a leading producer of video recordings of live opera productions which it licenses to broadcasters and distributes on DVD. Opus Arte management will remain with the business.
