Quayle Munro advises Newcastle & North Tyneside NHS LIFT on second stage of project
Date: February 2008

The Newcastle & North Tyneside NHS LIFT Company (“NNT LIFT Co”), a joint venture between Robertson Capital Projects, Partnership for Health and the local public sector partners, Newcastle and North Tyneside Primary Care Trusts, North Tyneside Council and Newcastle City Council, has successfully completed its second stage of development, to give local people access to council and health services in the heart of their communities.

The project is part of the Local Improvement Finance Trust initiative, a Government scheme launched to increase both the number and quality of modern buildings delivering health and social care services in local communities throughout England.

Quayle Munro, the independent merchant bank, has acted as financial adviser to NNT Lift Co since the project began.  Quayle Munro advised on completion of tranche one in May 2004, making it at the time one of the earliest Local Improvement Finance Trust projects.  Initial phases of the second tranche of the project were completed in November 2006 and September 2007. The first phase saw work commence in Dudley, Shiremoor and Gosforth, while the second phase involves the further development of a local authority building in Beyker.
