Robin joined Quayle Munro in 2008 on its acquisition of van Tulleken, which she joined in 1999. In that time she has initiated or been involved in both US and international M&A activity. Robin has worked on more than 30 transactions, specializing in the education sector, and has completed deals in the healthcare, and the trade bookstore sectors as well. Most recently, she has added education technology deals to her portfolio of work, selling Soliloquy Learning to Scientific Learning, and Concept Media to Cengage.
For more than 20 years prior to joining van Tulleken, Robin held key positions in publishing. Her experience includes sales, marketing, editorial, direct mail and school book clubs with particular expertise in the children’s area. These roles included: Executive Vice President/Publisher at Western Publishing Company (Golden Books); Vice President of Marketing at Simon & Schuster for both their Adult Trade Paperback and Children’s Divisions; Group Product Manager Children’s Division, and Mass Market Sales Manager at Grosset & Dunlap Publishing Company (Penguin).
Robin is a member of the Software Information Industry Association (SIIA) Educational Steering Committee, and the SIIA Innovative Technologies Education Committee, and a speaker or moderator at several education conferences. She is a graduate of Queens College in New York, and has attended the MBA program from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
