We have a proven track record of selling companies to strategic buyers and specialist private equity firms, and consistently outperform our clients’ expectations through a combination of our sector expertise, our execution skills and our strong understanding of, and extensive network of contacts with, purchasers globally.
In the past five years, 60% of our transactions have been cross-border.
Our experienced transaction teams, led and managed by senior individuals, take the time to understand our clients’ businesses and markets in detail and provide strategic insight and hands-on leadership throughout deal processes. Our independence and relationship-based approach enables us to provide objective, conflict-free advice, and to ensure that our interests are aligned directly with those of our clients.
On a selective basis, we also provide growth capital from our own balance sheet to businesses whose focus shares our core expertise of data and analytics, content, software, and services. This reflects our commitment to providing value-added support to our clients and helping them to achieve their long-term objectives.
Why are we hiring?
Quayle Munro has grown to a team of over 30 advisors and is looking to add highly motivated and intelligent Analysts to their team to provide support for all aspects of transaction origination and execution.
Analysts will be required to be intimately involved in all areas of our business, and own several key work-streams within a typical transaction. This will include:
- Prepare and participate in Quayle Munro deal pitches;
- Create and analyse company financial projections;
- Build and use complex financial models, completing valuation and analytical exercises;
- Prepare company marketing and transaction materials;
- Conduct company and industry due diligence; and
- Liaise with clients throughout the transaction lifecycle
What are we looking for?
We are seeking talented and driven individuals capable of working as part of wider transaction teams but also willing and able to take the initiative and operate independently.
The programme is open to students in their final year of university or who have already graduated and gained some industry experience. We welcome both Bachelor's and Master's students with:
- Undergraduate degree with a minimum 2:1 pass grade from a highly regarded university;
- Some knowledge of or exposure to the financial services industry, either via relevant internships, academic coursework, or demonstrable industry knowledge;
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint;
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills;
- Accuracy and attention to detail;
- Ability to operate independently;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Pro-active and performance-driven;
- Team worker.
You will undergo a two week formal training programme designed by a leading City financial training provider to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in your investment banking career.

William Robertson – Analyst
“As an Analyst at QM, you are given extraordinary responsibility and ownership of roles from the get go, with frequent client interaction you may not experience elsewhere. Within two months of starting on the QM Graduate Programme in 2014, I was working on a live sell-side project in a small three-person team. 11 months down the line, I have worked on four sell-side transactions and one QM proprietary investment, where the clients have ranged from young entrepreneurial firms to FTSE 250 constituents, based from Jakarta to San Francisco. My typical day-to-day workstreams include financial and customer analysis, helping to write and prepare marketing materials, running a due diligence process between prospective buyers and our client, as well overseeing the general administration of a project.
In the past month, my first deal signed which involved the sale of a major quoted media company’s portfolio of assets. This was a challenging process in a small deal team and as such enabled me to take on significant responsibility from an early stage, as well as allowing me to quickly learn and develop core analytical skills.”
Will joined Quayle Munro in September 2014 and is a graduate of Bristol University with a BSc in Economics.
Will previously worked as an Analyst for Impellam Group plc and prior to that completed an internship for Torchlight Investment Group, a private equity firm as part of the Pyne Gould Corporation.
Callum Pirie – Analyst
“As part of Quayle Munro, you are given the opportunity to grow in your role as part of a small team, which offers you a high level of responsibility from the start. On one of my first projects, I was given the responsibility of drafting both the pitch materials and the corporate presentation that is delivered by management to prospective buyers. This was in addition to being in charge of the administration related to the process. This high level of responsibility in my first sell-side deal meant I was fully involved in the process as a whole, and gave me the opportunity to understand what is required when working on a transaction from start to finish. The education I gained from that experience was invaluable going forward.”
Callum joined Quayle Munro in 2015 as a member of the Financial Services Team. He was previously at Aberdeen Asset Management as part of their Financial Reporting team.
Callum graduated from the University of Oxford in 2013, with a degree in History from Hertford College.
