Timothy W. N. Guinness (61) worked for ten years as a corporate financier at Barings and then co-founded and built up Guinness Flight Hambro Asset Management, which was sold to Investec in 1998. In November 2002 Tim established a new asset management firm, Guinness Atkinson Asset Management LLC, which invests in Asian equities, energy industry equities and equities reflecting themes such as innovation, globalisation, communications and technology, principally for US mutual fund clients. In 2000 he joined Peter Norris to form NBC.
Tim graduated from Cambridge University in 1968 with a degree in Engineering and later obtained an MBA at MIT.
