Jo Elliot
Executive Director

jo.elliot@quaylemunro.com

Jo has experience of a wide variety of transactions for listed and unlisted companies. More recently his specialisation has been in advisory work on public-private partnerships, including PFI where he led the firm’s successful entry into that market from its inception in the early 1990’s. A major landmark was acting as financial adviser to the successful bidder for the first Falkirk Schools PFI project, which was the first local authority scheme in Scotland and the first bundled schools scheme in the UK. Under his direction the expanded QM team has since closed over 30 PPP projects on the private sector or public sector side. Arising out of this advisory activity, he established Quayle Munro’s fund management activity in PFI, which culminated in raising QM’s managed fund, The PFI Infrastructure Company plc, in 2004.

Jo joined Quayle Munro in 1983, became a director in 1988 and was chief executive from 2002 until the acquisition of New Boathouse Capital in 2007. His early experience was in corporate planning in public companies in the drinks and engineering sectors.  He is based in the Edinburgh office.

He has a degree in physics from Oxford University and specialised in finance for his MBA at Cranfield School of Management.
