In 1995, Kit van Tulleken founded The van Tulleken Company, a corporate advisory firm handling mergers and acquisitions in the publishing, information and technology sectors. With offices in London and New York, the company focussed on international transactions in the UK, Europe and North America and, over 12 years, initiated and successfully completed some 120 transactions. During that time, Kit worked with and was retained by the leading global media companies including von Holtzbrinck Group, Wolters Kluwer, Nielsen (VNU), Hearst, Pearson, Reed Elsevier, Dolan Media, and Hachette. In 2008, The van Tulleken Company was acquired by Quayle Munro PLC. She is based in the London office.
Prior to founding van Tulleken, Kit was Managing Director of The Pofcher Company, a media investment bank. She established the UK office and worked on a range of major transactions in the professional and business sectors including legal, scientific, medical and education.
Kit has over 30 years experience in publishing and related media industries including magazines, broadcasting, books and newspapers. For 14 years she was the European Editor of Time-Life Books where she helped build its highly successful operations in the U.K. and Europe.
She is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal; a Governor of King's College School in London; and a member of the Stationers’ Guild.
