The amount we invest is dependent on the size of the company concerned and its balance sheet and profit record.  Individual direct investments of up to £5m are possible, usually for a minority interest.  We make an investment on an indefinite timescale with a bias towards the longer term, and aim to add value for all shareholders through active engagement with management. We have no specific sector preferences.
